COLOMBO (News 1st);The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has taken steps to construct 7 additional oil tanks in Muthurajawela .
Chairman of the CPC, Janaka Rajakaruna, said that 4 of these tanks will be built for the storage of aviation fuel.
These tanks are set to be constructed under a project aimed at expanding infrastructure for fuel distribution and storage.
In addition, Chairman Janaka Rajakaruna announced the construction of a 21-kilometer-long pipeline to transport fuel from Muthurajawela to Katunayake.
He added that there are also plans to construct a new pipeline to transport oil from the Colombo Port premises to Kolonnawa.
