Examination Centers to be fumigated to combat dengue ahead of exams

Colombo (News 1st); The Education Ministry has taken measures to conduct dengue prevention programs at schools and other premises used as Examination Centers for the Advanced Level & Grade Five Scholarship examinations.

The National Dengue Control Unit in the Ministry of Health had instructed the Provincial Directors of Education to fumigate schools used as Examination Centers.

In addition, Principals and Parents are advised to assist in dengue prevention programs.

The G. C. E. Advanced Level Examination will take place from the 12th of October to the 06th of November at 2,648 Examination Centers.

The Grade Five Scholarship Examination will take place on the 11th of October at 2936 Examination Centers across the country.
