Cabinet approval received to shift "public day" to Monday

The public day at state institutions has been shifted to Monday by the Government in a bid to offer further convenience to the general public. "The main reason for this decision is the fact that the Parliament convenes on Wednesdays," Joint Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Udaya Gammanpila revealed details of the matter during a media briefing held to announce cabinet decisions.
