Yupun Abeykoon sets new South Asian record in 100m

COLOMBO (News 1st): Yupun Abeykoon on Tuesday (Sep 09) smashed the 100m national record with a sizzling 10.16 seconds in an international meeting held in Germany, Sri Lanka Athletics said. He beat German Champ - Denis Almas to win the event. Yupun Abeykoon's time is now set as a new South Asian record of 100m. The previous 100m national record of 10.22 seconds was set by Himasha Eashan.
