Colombo (News 1st); Several dozen Sri Lankans who were employed in Seychelles claim they were left stranded over there after their service contracts were terminated due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a video sent to News 1st, the group stated they completed their 02 year contract period on Seychelles in early 2020 and were left stranded for almost 06 months with zero repatriation flights available.

"The only repatriation flight for Sri Lankans was in June 2020," they claimed, adding they are currently facing many difficulties.

They urged the President, Foreign Minister, and the Government to repatriate them to Sri Lanka.
