Three arrested in Kalpitiya while transporting smuggled Turmeric: SLN

COLOMBO (News 1st): Three suspects were arrested in Kalpitiya while transporting a smuggled stock of Turmeric, via a truck, Sri Lanka Navy said on Sunday (Sep 06). The arrests were made during a raid conducted by Sri Lanka Navy, on Sunday. According to SL Navy, 815 kg of dry Turmeric was discovered in the truck. Sri Lanka Navy said the suspects and the seized stock of Turmeric were handed over to Kalpitiya Police for further investigations.
