Showery conditions to enhance over the island

COLOMBO(News 1st): The Met Department predicts showery conditions over the island, particularly in the South-Western part and the North-Western province, is likely to enhance to some extent from this evening. Showers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and North-Western provinces, the department further said. Showers or thundershowers will occur in Uva, Eastern, and North-Central provinces and in Mullaitivu and Vavuniya districts after 2.00 pm. Fairly heavy showers in excess of 50 mm are likely at some places. Several spells of light showers may occur in Jaffna and Mannar districts.
