Graduates recruited to public sector, to receive appointment letters today

COLOMBO (News 1st): Appointment letters to graduates who will be recruited as apprentices in the Public Sector will take place on Wednesday (02) afternoon at an event graced by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Graduates who were selected as apprentices in the Public Sector reported to the Divisional Secretariats located in their area of residence, as per a directive issued by the Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils, and Local Government. Secretary to the Ministry, J.J. Ratnasiri said 50,000 graduates will be included in the Public Service on Wednesday (02). He said all candidates will be given training in Leadership, Management in Public and Private Institutions across a 04 month period. The Secretary to the Ministry said the first year in service for the candidates will be a probationary period and during the said period candidates will receive an allowance of Rs. 20,000 per month. Further, graduates who were not included for the training program can file their appeal until the 12th of September to the Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government or the Presidential Secretariat. The Secretary to the Ministry said justice will be served to those who file appeals after considering the appeals filed by them.
