Prices of several medicines to be reduced

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Government has made plans to reduce the prices of several pharmaceutical drugs. "The price reductions will come into effect in the coming weeks," Prof. Channa Jayasumana, the State Minister of Pharmaceutical Production, Supply and Regulation said on Friday (Aug 28). Prof. Jayasumana further noted that steps will be taken immediately, to initiate the manufacture of several drugs that have not been manufactured in the country so far.
