Cabinet approves fly-over construction project in Slave Island

Colombo (News 1st); The Cabinet of Ministers granted approval to implement a project to construct fly-overs to minimize traffic along Sri Uttarananda Mawatha and Justice Akbar Mawatha near the Slave Island Railway Station.
Cabinet approval was also given to implement a one-way traffic plan designed to avoid traffic congestion in the said area, said Joint Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Udaya Gammanpila.
Accordingly, the cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal to call for bids from eligible local contractors for the construction of 02 fly-overs under the project as a cost of Rs. 06 Billion said Gammanpila.
