President urges ministry secretaries to achieve targets

COLOMBO (News1st): President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has urged ministry secretaries to set set targets and achieve them annually after drawing a successful plan. "Remember to always go to the people, realise their hardships and provide solutions," the President said after awarding appointment letters to ministry secretaries. He observed that one of the key issues among the people is their lack of confidence in politicians and the state sector. "This is not healthy. We need immediate results. The people expect that," Rajapaksa said. He urged ministry secretaries to make the right decisions regardless of the law or the constitution that is in effect in the country.
