PCoI officers at Ex-President's residence to record a statement

COLOMBO (News 1st): Officers from the Police Unit of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing the 2019 April 21st attacks on Wednesday (Aug 26), visited the residence of Former President Maithripala Sirisena to record a statement. The Presidential Commission had earlier informed Former President Maithripala Sirisena to appear at the Police Unit of the Commission with regard to the investigations into the 2019 April 21st attacks. A spokesperson to the commission said the Former President was informed to appear at the Police Unit of the commission on Wednesday morning (Aug 26). A number of former Ministers and security officials have provided evidence at the commission on previous occasions.
