COLOMBO (News 1st): Another batch of 745 Sri Lankans who were repatriated due to the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in the island on Thursday (Aug 20), airport officials said.
The arrivals were from Kuwait, India, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.
A total of 290 passengers from India, arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport this morning, while 20 people arrived from Qatar.
According to the Duty Manager at the Mattala International Airport, 266 Sri Lankans repatriated from Kuwait, arrived in the island as well.
A total of 169 passengers arrived from the United Arab Emirates.
All returning passengers were subjected to PCR tests and directed into quarantine.
