Veteran Journalist Rohan Weliwita appointed as Media Secretary to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa

COLOMBO (News 1st): Veteran Journalist Rohan Weliwita was appointed as the Media Secretary to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa. Rohan Weliwita received his letter of appointment at the Prime Minister's Office on Wednesday (Aug 19), from Gamini Senarath - the Secretary to the Prime Minister, the Prime Minister's Office said. Journalist Rohan Weliwita served as a media advisor to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa when he was the Minister of Fisheries in 2000. Further, he also served as the media secretary to Prime Minister Rajapaksa, when the Premier held the position of Leader of the Opposition for the 1st time.
