Colombo (News 1st); Minister Dinesh Gunawardena was appointed as the Leader of the House of the new Parliament, said Secretary-General of Parliament Dhammika Dassanayake.
Minister Johnston Fernando was appointed as the Chief Government Whip, he added.
The 1st sitting of the 9th Parliament will convene on the 20th of August 2020.
