Colombo (News 1st): Fazlan Feroz, a United National Party member from the Kalutara District began a fast opposite the UNP HQ this morning, claiming he had been treated unfairly by the UNP.
He claimed that he did not get the post of Mayor despite emerging first from Kalutara at the Local Government Election in 2018.
He alleged he was unfairly treated by "Ranil's people" adding that he is not the only one who had to face such injustice.
He added that the peoples' mandate must be respected and he must resign, and not stay on until the Provincial Council Elections.
A representative of the United National Party approached Feroz and informed him that there is a code of conduct that must be adhered to, and added: "the party isn't anyone's heirloom."
