Special meeting of UNP in Sirikotha

COLOMBO (News1st): A special meeting of the United National Party was held at its headquarters in Sirikotha on Saturday. The meeting, chaired by party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, was attended by UNP candidates, party organizers, and senior members. "We invited all candidates to thank them and hosted a lunch," Wajira Abeywardana, a party senior said after the meeting. He denied that matters about the party leadership or its parliament national list seat nominee were discussed during the occasion. "We will arrive at a unanimous decision and conduct ourselves accordingly," Abeywardana said when questioned about the party leadership.
