Government's 150,000 employment program to continue

Colombo (News 1st); Employment for 50,000 graduates and 100,000 low-income earners will be provided immediately, announced the President's Media Division.

The PMD said in a statement, all those provided with employment will report to work from the 01st of September 2020.

It added, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has decided to continue with the 150,000 employment opportunity program which was suspended due to the 2020 Parliamentary Election.

The list of graduates who will receive employment will be published on the official website of the Presidential Secretariat on Sunday and respective letters will be posted to them on Monday.

The Presidential Media Division said those who receive employment should report to their nearest Divisional Secretariat on the 01st of September 2020.

The statement went on to note, if a selected graduate's name is not in the list, an inquiry can be made from the President's Office.

Low-income earners selected for employment will be assigned to their respective positions by a Task Force from the 01st of September, said the President's Media Division.
