Over 170,000 PCR tests conducted in Sri Lanka: NOCPCO

COLOMBO (News 1st): As of Monday (Aug 10), a total of 171,169 PCR tests were conducted in Sri Lanka, to detect coronavirus infections, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said. According to the NOCPCO, 680 PCR tests were conducted on Sunday (Aug 9). Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka as of Monday (Aug 10), stands at 2844. There are 254 active COVID-19 patients receiving medical treatment, the Ministry of Health said. The total number of recoveries stands at 2579, according to the latest figures issued by the Epidemiology Unit.
