Colombo (News 1st); The National Elections Commission said voters will be permitted to bring their own pen to mark the ballot paper at next week’s General Election.
A statement signed by the Chairman of the National Elections Commission noted the pen should only be either a blue or black ball point pen.
Further, such pens cannot contain any symbol, color or logo which promotes a candidate or party.
The National Elections Commission said if a voter is not in the possession of a pen, a disinfected pen will be provided at the polling station.
