COLOMBO (News 1st): A discussion is scheduled for Tuesday (July 28), between Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Public Health Inspectors’ Union of Sri Lanka, which is currently engaged in a trade union action.
“The union is looking forward for a favourable response to its demands, at the discussion tomorrow; and until the demands are met we will not give up on the union action,” Upul Rohana – Chairman of the PHI Union said on Monday (July 27).
It has been 10 days since the Public Health Inspectors’ Union of Sri Lanka commenced the union action over unfair treatment caused to PHIs through the gazette issued recently on the implementation of quarantine regulations.
