Underworld Weapons Factory raided by STF in Ruwanwella

The STF said 05 12-Bore Shotguns, a locally manufactured Gal-Katas weapon and a T-Katas weapon, a revolver and a cache of explosives were discovered at the site.

An individual suspected of operating the weapons factory was arrested by the STF who added, the weapons factory was used to produce weapons for underworld gangs and repair damaged weapons.

Investigations revealed the weapons factory had been in operation for a long time and the suspect along with the firearms and explosives were handed over to police for further investigations.
