Colombo (News 1st); The Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka announced the Reserve Bank of India had signed a document for US$ 400 million currency swap facility to Sri Lanka which will be in effect until November 2022.
A tweet from the Indian High Commission said the signing took place after debt repayment rescheduling discussions on Thursday (23) adding this development is another example of India’s strong commitment to work with Sri Lanka in post COVID-19 economic recovery.
