COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police arrested 80 criminals identified through fingerprints, during a special operation conducted in the Western province, according to security officials. According to Sri Lanka Police, the 80 suspects arrested on Sunday (July 12) during a 24-hour operation, in the Western province, were connected to 129 crimes. "During the Special Crimes Prevention Operation, a total of 806 suspects including 30 suspects in connection with minor offences and 204 suspects with warrants were arrested," Sri Lanka Police said on Monday (July 13). The operation was conducted based on instructions of Western Province Senior DIG - Deshabandu Thennekoon.
