NEC tells police to be strict on polls campaigning

Wearing candidate promoting material in public places will lead to arrest

Colombo  (News 1st); The National Elections Commission instructed Sri Lanka Police to arrest anyone who wear material promoting candidates and their preferential vote numbers, in public places and when canvassing for polls.

The banned campaign material includes T-Shirts, Caps as well as Face Masks.
