Colombo (News 1st); 05 suspects arrested for harassing a Russian woman at Galle Face Green on Sunday night will be produced in court on Tuesday.
The victim had filed a complaint with the Fort Police soon after the incident had taken place.
Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon speaking to News 1st said among the suspects in the main perpetrator and they were arrested last night in a raid.
Investigations revealed the suspects are residents of Colombo and surrounding areas.
A video recorded by the victim went viral on social media on Sunday night.
Describing her ordeal the victim said, " the men only took a step back when she started to film the ordeal ".
