Commenting on his recent controversial statement, Karuna Amman said though a 30-second clip went viral, he spoke for almost an hour at that particular event.

Referring to the said person as Sajith Premadasa, Karuna Amman said it was the former's late father who provided 5000 guns, 5000 hand-grenades, 10 Million rounds of ammunition and more than 250 Million Rupees in cash to strengthen the organization (LTTE).

In his comments, Karuna Amman said Sajith Premadasa therefore cannot go to the Sinhala community adding the latter has understood he would have to face issues if there is a single scratch on Karuna Amman.

He added it is for this very reason the Prime Minister too issued a statement to remain silent rather than crying out Karuna Amman's name.
