1,441 failing to wear face masks, sent to self-quarantine

1,441 people have been sent to self-quarantine for failing to wear face masks in public places. They had been identified during the 24 hour period ending 6.00 a.m. today, Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon said. 39 people had been arrested during this time frame for violating the Quarantine and Prevention of Diseases Ordinance, He added.
