Two arrested in Piliyandala for the possession of Heroin

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police arrested two suspects, in Piliyandala for the possession of 1.28 kilograms of Heroin, officials said on Friday June(26). According to the police, the two suspects, a man, and a woman were arrested on Thursday (June 25) evening during a raid carried out by Dehiwala Police, based on a tip-off. Investigations have revealed the suspects had operated the drug racket through a house rented from Kumbuka in Moragahahena. The seized stock of Heroin is worth over 10 million rupees. The two suspects aged 33 and 35 are residents of Mathugama and Paraduwa. They will be produced before the Horana Magistrates Court on Friday (June 26).
