71 Army personnel promoted, Military Spokesperson, Brigadier Chandana Wickremasinghe said.
41 Colonels have been promoted to the rank of Brigadier and 30 Lieutenant Colonels have been promoted to the rank of Colonel.
These officers have been promoted by the President on the recommendation of Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, he further added.
