COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police continue search operations to locate the two children who went missing from Kelaniya over a week ago.
Eight days have passed since they went missing on the 12th of June.
The two missing children are identified as
11-year old – Tharusha Madushan and
10-year-old – Kaveesha Madushan.
A group of two families who were living on rent took refuge near the Kelaniya Bus Stop since their economic situation did not allow them to afford the rent due to the financial crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the parents, it was revealed the two children boarded a bus with another person from the same area.
“My child said goodbye to me before he left. It’s too painful that I have no words to explain my pain. I plead to everyone, please help us find our children,” the crying mother pleaded on Wednesday (June 17).
The two children disappeared on the 12th of June after leaving their makeshift place of accommodation at the Kelaniya bus stop, to play.
Police still in search of the children who went missing in Kelaniya 08 days ago yet to be found.
