COLOMBO (News1st): Zoological gardens, botanical gardens, national parks, and wildlife reserves will be re-opened on June 15, ending a three-month long shutdown, wildlife minister S.M. Chandrasena said. All national parks, which were closed on March 14, will be reopened for both local and international tourists, the minister told reporters on Wednesday. Tourists can visit national parks in adherence to health guidelines issued by health authorities, minister Chandrasena noted. Authorities are mulling about reopening airports for foreign tourists in August, ending a shutdown which has been in effect since mid-March.
