Man arrested for stealing cash at National Hospital 

COLOMBO (News1st): A state hospital doctor was arrested after robbing cash worth more than Rs 7.9 million at the Colombo National Hospital, police said on Tuesday. The suspect had robbed the money from an employee at the finance division of the hospital "after brandishing a fake pistol" police spokesman Jaliya Senaratne told reporters. Chief Inspector Waruni Bogahawatta, attached to the Matara Police, who was present at the hospital, had arrested the suspect after giving chase to him. Two police constables attached to the State Intelligence Service had also chased behind the suspect, according to the police spokesman.
