COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka will strive towards prosperity, inspired by Dhamma and strengthened by our past experiences, said President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Friday (June 5).

In his message to mark Poson Poya Day, the Head of State further said that he believed justice for all prevails in a spiritually virtuous, disciplined and prosperous society.

Government plans for not only the present but also for the future will be based on that solid foundation, emphasized President’s Poson Poya message.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa issuing a message to mark Poson Poya Day, said Sri Lanka succeded in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic as we worked together in unity as a country based on the nourishment of Buddhism and its virtues,

Sri Lanka can eliminate the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic and progress ahead, according to the Premier’s Poson Poya Day message.
