Sri Lanka registers its 11th COVID-19 death

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka reported its 11th COVID-19 death on Monday (June 1) morning. "The victim was a 45 year old returnee from Kuwait," said Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Director General of Health Services. According to Dr. Anil Jasinghe the victim was receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Homgama Hospital at the time of his demise. As of June 1st, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka stands at 1,633, according to the Epidemiology Unit at the Ministry of Health.
