277 Sri Lankans repatriated from Belarus arrive in SL

COLOMBO (News 1st): A batch of 277 Sri Lankans with a majority of Sri Lanka students repatriated from Belarus have arrived in the island. "This morning we got a flight from Belarus. The 277 passengers are being transferred to Quarantine centres, manned by Sri Lanka Army" said Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva - Acting Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander to News 1st on Friday (May 29). Another repatriation flight from Melbourne, Australia is also set to arrive in the island today. "We are expecting a SriLankan Airlines repatriation flight from Melbourne, Australia today. Around 286 passengers are set to arrive aboard this flight towards midnight today," said the Army Commander.
