COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka recorded 137 COVID-19 cases; its highest daily tally of the virus infections, on Tuesday (May 26).
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka has risen to 1319, according to the latest figures published by the Epidemiology Unit at the Ministry of Health at 11:30 pm on Tuesday (May 26).
Of the 137 COVID-19 cases confirmed on Tuesday, 127 were returnees from Kuwait, while the remaining 10 were Sri Lanka Navy personnel.
There are 597 active COVID-19 patients in Sri Lanka, according to the Ministry of Health.
The total number of recoveries in the country stands at 712.
COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 10 people in the country.
