Over 3500 buildings damaged owing to inclement weather

COLOMBO (News 1st): Over 3500 buildings including houses have been damaged owing to floods and strong winds, according to the National Disaster Relief Services Centre. An expeditious program is in place to provide compensation, Director Chaminda Pathiraja said. Rs. 17 million has been allocated for this purpose, he further added.
