Colombo (News 1st); Education Secretary M. Chithrananda said a decision on re-opening schools would only be made following the recommendations of the Health Ministry and the Director-General of Health Services.

As the number of students is high across schools, Advanced Level students would be given priority to enter schools, he said adding they would be followed by Ordinary Level students.

The Education Secretary said the dates of examinations would likely change.
