Second batch of Sri Lankans to be repatriated from UK

COLOMBO (News1st): A special SriLankan Airlines flight left for London on Monday, to repatriate a second batch of Sri Lankans, seeking to return to the country. The flight is expected to reach the Heathrow Airport this morning, an official at the Bandaranaike International Airport said. The group which will include students and state officials who were undergoing academic programmes, is expected to return to the country on Tuesday. They will be subjected to a 14-day quarantine period in keeping with instructions issued by state authorities. A similar batch of 208 Sri Lankans returned to the country on Monday.
