Colombo (News 1st); Deputy Police Chief Ajith Rohana said the curfew for Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttlam Districts will remain in effect until next week. DIG Ajith Rohana said regulations based on the Quarantine and Prevention of Diseases Ordinance will be in effect across those districts. He stressed, only those with valid curfew permits can travel in the high risk areas and movement between districts is strictly prohibited for the entire country. Establishments in areas where the curfew will be relaxed at 05AM to 08PM from tomorrow can resume operations strictly by adhering to the health guidelines issued by the government. He stressed permission to step on to the streets will purely be based on the last digit of the National Identification Card number, adding social distancing must be maintained at all times, both outdoors and indoors. During the time when the curfew is relaxed and imposed again it is strictly prohibited to host functions, mass meetings as well as parties and to travel as large groups. Those who do so would be arrested, produced in court and would be remanded.
