The program launched to deliver medicine to patients receiving long term treatment from the Naval general hospital in Welisara has been terminated temporarily.

The programme launched to distribute pharmaceutical drugs to the houses of retired naval personnel as well as their family members who were receiving long-term treatment from naval hospitals has been temporarily terminated by the Navy.

Since the prevailing situation in the country, the monthly receipt of medication of retired and serving naval personnel as well as their family members who were receiving long-term treatment from naval hospitals had greatly hampered. Although a programme was launched to distribute pharmaceutical drugs to the houses of those people considering their difficulty, it has been temporarily terminated due to the arisen situation in the Naval Complex-Welisara.

The Navy expects to re-launch this programme as soon as the appalling situation is over.
