Fishermen cautioned from going to sea due to rough winds

COLOMBO (News1st): Sri Lanka's meteorological department has cautioned fishermen from going to sea, forecasting rough seas and winds until 3 pm on April 22. In a weather advisory, the department said heavy rains and thundershowers could be experienced in the sea areas off the coast from Beruwala to Batticaloa through Galle, Hambantota and Pottuvil. Wind speeds may range between 70 to 80 kmph in the seas off these areas, the advisory read.
