COLOMBO (News1st): More than 250 people including beggars who lived on the streets of Colombo have been sent for quarantine in Mullaitivu, the Air Force said Sunday.
“They are due to undergo testing for COVID – 19 in the coming days,” Air Force Spokesman Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe told News1st.
He said around 260 people who were brought to the quarantine centre are being monitored closely at present.
“We are providing them clothes and other facilities,” the spokesman added.
The Air Force has set-up four quarantine centres among which three have been operational. More than 500 people who returned to the country recently were also quarantined in these centres.
