PCR tests to detect COVID-19 to be done by more Institutions

Colombo (News 1st) : The PCR test which is used to detect COVID-19 will now be carried out at the Apeksha Hospital, Kotelawala Defence University Hospital, Ratnapura Hospital in addition to the Infectious Diseases Hospital. Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe speaking at the National Operations Centre for Preventing COVID-19 said universities which fall under the purview of the Ministry of Higher Education have informed they would provide necessary equipment to improve PCR testing.
