COLOMBO (News1st): Sri Lankan health officials on Tuesday confirmed the sixth death due to COVID – 19.

The deceased is a 80-year old male and a resident of Dehiwala who had been receiving treatment at the IDH Hospital, Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe said.

Health ministry statistics show that Sri Lanka has 135 active cases of the virus, with the number of recovered patients standing at 38.

The total number of patients including those who had recovered stands at 178.
