More than 1000 curfew violators arrested during the last 24 hours

COLOMBO (News1st): More than 1000 curfew violators have been arrested during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Tuesday, police said. According to the Police, 1107 people have been arrested while 326 vehicles had been seized for travelling without a curfew permit during this period. The total number of people taken into custody since the curfew was imposed on March 20 to curb the spread of COVID 19, stands at 15,902. In addition, 3991 vehicles have been seized until today.
