More than 200 people to complete quarantine today

COLOMBO (News1st): More than 200 people who completed quarantine will return to their homes, Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said Sunday. The Army Chief, who heads the National Operation Centre for the prevention of COVID - 19, said 288 people will be released from the quarantine centres in Jaffna and Kundasale. He said that the tri-forces in the country are maintaining 40 quarantine centres in the country in which than 1400 people are currently quarantined. Meanwhile, 45 people who maintained close contact with a COVID - 19 patient from Pannipitiya who tested positive on Saturday evening, were sent to the Punani Quarantine centre, Lt. Gen. Silva said. Sri Lanka has reported five deaths and 166 confirmed cases of the virus with 27 recoveries.
