COLOMBO (News1st): People in boarding houses unable to travel to their homes have been asked to inform the nearest police station, officials said.
Marshal of the Air Force Roshan Gunathilake, the Western Province governor, said some people have been stranded at boarding houses due to the curfew restrictions.
Accordingly, he stated that they will be provided transport facilities to return to their hometowns.
The governor noted that the deputy inspector general of police in charge of the Western Province has been informed regarding these arrangements.
The government, in March imposed an island wide curfew in a bid to curb the spread of COVID - 19.
