Grace period for returnees to register with the Police ends at 12 noon

COLOMBO (News1st): The grace period granted for those who returned from overseas on or after March 16, to register with the Police, ends at 12 noon today (April 1), police said. Accordingly, those who have returned to the country during this time period have been instructed to contact their nearest police station in order to register themselves. Steps will be taken to freeze the properties of those who fail to adhere to this regulation, police warned. This regulation had been imposed in a bid to curb the spread of COVID - 19 which has already claimed two lives in the country.
